Introduction
    Today we are going to learn about tornadoes!  Tornadoes are very dangerous storms and can sneak up on us when we least expect it.  We are going to learn more about these terrifying storms today by conducting a search on the internet!  Answer the following seven questions by following the links.  Follow the links by clicking on the underlined words.  When you are finished, answer the BIG QUESTION that asks you to combine what you have learned through your treasure hunt on tornadoes.

The Big Question
   Sarah and Max live in Kansas.  One day in June, they are outside playing baseball when a thunderstorm approaches.  At lunchtime, the weatherman issued a tornado watch.  Sarah's mom is worried that a tornado is on the way.  Using the clues in the paragraph and your new knowledge about tornadoes, how should Sarah's mother prepare for the upcoming storm?
